Hosted annually by Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, the Jean Anderson Annual Lecture in Literary Translation celebrates the power of language to cross borders and bring cultures into dialogue.

Best known for his acclaimed translations of James Joyce, Terrinoni brings a rich and provocative lens to the role of translation in shaping meaning, identity, and resistance.
Professor Enrico Terrinoni will present "The Quantum of Translation: James Joyce’s Generative Genius."
Drinks and nibbles begin from 5.00pm, with formalities beginning at 5.30pm, followed by the lecture and Q&A which will run until 7.00pm. Attendees are welcome to stay afterwards for further conversation until 8.00pm.
