NZSTI Auckland Branch President

Agustina is an English-Spanish freelance translator and interpreter from Córdoba, Argentina. She is currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), where she works as a linguist, researcher and educator in various settings. Her passion for intercultural communication and community development resulted in her joining the NZSTI Auckland branch committee and co-founding Simultaneous Interpreters New Zealand (SiNZ) to help promote and further develop professional interpreting in Aotearoa. This is her first term as president of the Auckland branch, where she’s been working with a fabulous team to put together the 2024 NZSTI Conference.

Kathryn Malan

NZSTI Operations Manager

Kathryn has been volunteering for NZSTI for many years, starting on the Auckland branch committee before becoming the branch vice president and president, and the national treasurer. In November 2023 she started in the operations manager role, supporting the national council and regional branches in their daily operations, and centralising the conference organisation. 2023 saw a great conference organised in Christchurch and our 2024 conference in Auckland looks set to be even more exciting!
