The NZSTI Conference Gala Dinner is one of the most anticipated events of the weekend. It’s an elegant evening where translators, interpreters, academics, and industry professionals come together to connect, celebrate, and unwind. Enjoy a delicious meal, great company, and a chance to strengthen professional relationships in a relaxed, festive setting.

Whether you’re reconnecting with colleagues or meeting new faces, the Gala Dinner is a wonderful opportunity to be part of the NZSTI community and celebrate the work we do.

Dress code: smart or cocktail attire –but more than anything, bring your best self and a spirit of celebration.

This year’s gala dinner will be hosted at Shed 5, one of Wellington’s most iconic waterfront venues. Once a working wool shed, this heritage-listed space blends maritime charm with modern elegance. With high ceilings, polished wooden floors, and views over the harbour, Shed 5 offers a warm and stylish setting for guests to connect over a refined seasonal menu. Just a short stroll from the conference venue, it’s the perfect place to unwind, celebrate, and continue conversations in a relaxed and memorable environment.

Delegates are welcome to purchase an extra ticket for one guest (maximum). The price includes a three course dinner and one drink. A cash bar will be available. Please note any special dietary requirements on your booking. To book your ticket, simply add it to your order when registering for the conference.
