Kick off your conference weekend by connecting with fellow delegates at our Friday Quiz Night. Open to all attendees arriving the evening before the conference.

Hosted at Bentley's in Haere-roa on the University of Canterbury campus, this relaxed pre-conference gathering is a chance to meet colleagues, catch up with friends, and get to know other attendees before the conference begins. Whether you're travelling to Christchurch for the first time or reconnecting with familiar faces, this event offers a welcoming and informal way to start your conference weekend.

The evening will feature a fun linguists' quiz with questions covering languages, translation, interpreting, culture, and a few surprises along the way. No need to organise a team in advance. Teams will be formed on the night, making it easy to meet new people and build connections with other attendees.

As the venue has limited capacity, we ask that you register in advance so we can confirm numbers for catering and seating.

Your registration includes one complimentary drink, and we will be providing a small selection of shared platters and nibbles.
